Players and officials of the Nigeria national team have touched down in Abidjan, the capital of Cote d’Ivoire, ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Super Eagles confirmed their arrival in an X post on Wednesday evening.
A picture of the delegation was uploaded with the caption: “Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire.”
Kemi Filani had reported that the players and officials departed the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos on Wednesday morning.
The contingent arrived Lagos from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on Tuesday.
Jose Peseiro’s side spent one week in Abu Dhabi perfecting strategies for the AFCON.
They were hosted to a send forth dinner by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday night.
The three-time African champions will be based at the Pullman Hotel in Abidjan.
Nigeria’s first game is against Nzalang Nacional of Equatorial Guinea at the Alassanne Quattara Stadium, Ebimpe on Sunday.
