AFCON 2023: He’s important, my assistant – Peseiro hails Super Eagles forward

The head coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, has hailed Ahmed Musa’s role in the current squad.

Musa has not played a single minute as Nigeria reached the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

But Peseiro, has said the forward is very important to his team and acts as his assistant.

“Ahmed Musa is special and important to the team. He is my assistant, he advises me, he gives me the necessary support.

“He is committed in his role and he can play.

“We shall wait and see tomorrow, but we want to win the AFCON for Musa to lift the trophy,” Peseiro said.
