Aaron Ramsey joins Nice on free transfer
After his contract with Juventus expired, Aaron Ramsey joined Ligue 1 club Nice on a free transfer.
The Wales star left Juventus last week after a period marred by injuries in Italy, but his move to France gives him regular playing time before his nation’s World Cup campaign in the winter.
Ramsey played in 70 games for the Bianconeri across all competitions, scoring six goals. However, only five of those games occurred during the 2021/22 season. His time under Massimiliano Allegri was hampered by injuries, and he was later loaned out to Rangers, where he won the Scottish Cup and participated in the Europa League final.
He joins a Nice team that is trying to improve on its fifth-place finish in Ligue 1 last year, which allowed it to advance to the Europa Conference League play-off round.
Ramsey moves to France alongside his countryman Joe Rodon.
