The Republic of Ireland will face the Super Falcons of Nigeria in their next game at the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
This would be the last game of the Group Stage fixtures.
And ahead of the game, Ireland forward Marissa Sheva has declared a war on the Super Falcons.
Vera Pauw’s side have been eliminated from the competition losing to co-hosts Australia and Canada in their opening two games.
The Girls in Green, who are making their maiden appearance at the Women’s World Cup will play for pride when they take on the Super Falcons in their last group game at the Lang Park, Brisbane on Monday morning.
Sheva said they want to finish the competition on a high and will go for a win against the Super Falcons
“You will never see us give up,” Sheva, who plays for NWSL side Washington Spirit, told BBC.
“I am so proud of this team for that reason. We will go into that next game in Brisbane and we will fight like hell.”
