Cameroon and Ajax goalkeeper, Andre Onana, narrowly escaped death after he was involved in a ghastly motor accident in the early hours of Tuesday (March 22, 2022).
The 25-year-old was said to be on his way to Doula from the capital city Yaounde, to train with his Cameroonian teammates ahead of their 2022 Fifa World Cup Qualifier playoff against Algeria when the incident happened.
However, Onana may be available on Friday when the Indomitable Lions host Algeria, as he reportedly did not sustained “serious injuries” in the accident.
The accident involved three vehicles. But there are casualties as at the time of filing this report.
