2022 World Cup play-off: Nigeria to battle Ghana for one ticket

The draw for the 2022 World Cup play-offs has seen Nigeria pitted against Ghana.

The two West African rivals will clash for one World Cup slot at the 2022 edition in Qatar.

Egypt will battle Senegal, Cameroon take on Algeria, DR Congo will lock horns with Morocco while Mali will slug it out against Tunisia.

The two legged battle begins in March. The play-off games will be played on a home and away basis between March 24-29

Of the ten involved nations, only Mali have never appeared at a World Cup finals before with DR Congo featuring as Zaire in 1974.

Super Eagles and Black Stars have played each other on 56 occasions with Ghana having the upper hand on their neighbours with 25 wins and 19 draws.
