The YPP candidate for the House of Representatives for Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency, Mr Uche Okafor, has commended President Mohammed Buhari’s cashless policy, saying that for the first time in the history of election in his area, voters participated without any political/financial inducements.
Okafor said in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Awkuzu, Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra on Saturday, that the election was peacefully conduct, despite the late arrival of electoral officers.
He said these are indicators that democracy is actually growing in Nigeria.
Okafor commended the INEC seamless processes in voting, revealing that it did not take him three minutes to cast his vote.
He appealed to INEC to work more on its logistics arrangement to ensure its officials keep on time.
Okafor commended the security operatives in the area for a positive and articulated display of their services to the people. (NAN)
