Following the outcome of the rerun election in Osun state that has seen APC candidate, Gboyega Oyetola emerge as winner, the party’s National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole addressed a press conference.
At the press conference, Oshiomhole may have alluded that the party rigged the election as alleged by the opposition party, PDP. He said “I think that for democracy to flourish, only people who can accept the pain of rigging (sorry defeat) should participate in an election”.

PDP candidate, Ademola Adeleke had earlier described the election as a coup, as he alleged that members of his party were not allowed to vote.
