Peter Obi, Labour Party should get ready for defeat, says Buhari’s aide, Tolu Ogunlesi

Presidential aide, Tolu Ogunlesi, has warned the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to get ready for defeat in the 2023 general elections.

According to him, the ruling All Progressives Congress and the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party, are already used to defeats.

This is as he expressed the fear of how Nigerians will cope at the hands of deluded supporters of the Labour Party when the party loses in 2023.

He tweeted, “My fear is what will happen when LP doesn’t win the 2023 presidential election. What we will have to deal with as a country in the (disillusioned) hands of deluded folks being brainwashed into thinking victory is a possibility. We have a duty to cure that brainwashing in advance.

To all my people in the LP camp. Get ready for the long haul. When you don’t win in 2023, don’t give up. Don’t let anger or frustration congeal into cynicism. APC and PDP are by now used to dealing with electoral failure, LP will need to get used to it, and to trying again.

When you don’t win in 2023, please we don’t want to hear any ‘server’ talk. We don’t want to hear that Nigeria is hopeless and unsalvageable, simply because your wishes didn’t come to pass. Hang in there, keep building, for 2027, 2031, 2035, and beyond. Thanks for listening.
