Ministerial List: How Keyamo defeated haters to get Tinubu’s appointment

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sent the nomination of Festus Keyamo, SAN, to the Senate for consideration as minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Kemi Filani News recalls that Netizens took to their social media to mock Keyamo for not being considered for Ministerial appointment despite working hard for Tinubu.

But in a twist, Tinubu sent Keyamo’s name to the Senate for confirmation.

Tinubu also withdrew the earlier nomination of Dr Maryam Shetty nominee from Kano and replaced her with a new nominee Dr Mairiga Mahmud also from Kano.

Tinubu, in the letter addressed to President of Senate Godswill Akpiabio and read at plenary on Fridays’ said:

“…Sequel to my earlier correspondence dated Aug 2, 2023.
“I resolved to withdraw the nomination of Dr Maryam Shetty.
“Furthermore, I am pleased to nominate Dr Mariga Mahmud and Mr Festus Keyamo for consideration and, if fit, confirm by the Senate as ministers”.

Keyamo was the Minister of State Labour under the ex-president Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

He was among the spokespersons of the Tinubu/Shetima Presidential Campaign.
