Former Governor of Delta state, Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan dumps APC, goes back to PDP

The former governor of Delta state, Dr Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan has dumped the currently ruling party in Nigeria, APC and gone back to the opposition party, PDP.

Kemi Filani recalls that the Dr Emmanuel assumed office via an inconclusive election on 29 May 2007 under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Uduaghan ran again for governor in the 26 April 2011 elections, and was reelected. But on the 29th of August, 2018 he officially announced that he has left PDP for APC.

According to online reports, the people of Abigborodo Community in the Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State could not hide their joy over the ex governor’s decision. These people were seen jubilating and celebrating DR Emmanuel for officially rejoining the People’s Democratic Party, PDP for the All Progressives Congress.

This former Governor was accompanied by Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi, member representing Warri Federal Constituency as well as the Peoples Democratic Party’s PDP Deputy Chairman(Delta South), Mr. Ada-Val Areyenka to his community.
