Femi Gbajabiamila bows to greet Tinubu, Reno Omokri reacts

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has reacted to a video showing the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila bowing to greet APC chieftain Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

According to Reno Omokri, the gesture is a clear signed that Nigeria will have an independent legislative.

He wrote:

“Video of Speaker Gbajabiamila bowing to Bola @AsiwajuTinubu in Lagos. Somehow, I do not think Nigeria will have an Independent Legislature with a Deputy @NGRSenate President who kneels down to General Buhari and a @HouseNGR Speaker who bows to Tinubu #FreeLeahSharibu #RenosDarts”

Recall that he said something similar when Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege knelt down to greet President Buhari.

When we have a Deputy Senate President KNEELING DOWN to greet General Muhammadu Buhari, how can we expect the 9th Senate of the National Assembly to STAND UP to him? The Legislature was created to CHECK the Executive, not to BOW to them. I served under President Goodluck Jonathan. I was Uber loyal to him. I am still ultra loyal to him. But I never knelt down to him. I kneel down to my God. I respect my boss. I won’t kneel down to a President. Sad! Very sad!”.
