Nigeria Decides: Buhari defeats Atiku at Obasanjo’s polling unit

President Muhammadu Buhari has won at the polling unit of former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital as results from today’s presidential election continue to emerge in trickles.

Buhari of  the All Progressives Congress (APC) secured 87 votes to defeat his main opponent, Atiku Abubakar of  the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who got only 18 votes.

It is important to note that Obasanjo declared his support for Atiku after describing Buhari as incompetent to lead Nigeria.

Meanwhile, Director General of the Atiku Presidential Campaign Organisation, South, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, won his polling unit at Isote Ward 12, Makun, Sagamu.

The PDP scored 137 votes while the APC trailed behind with 88 votes.
