APC NWC declare Sanwo-Olu winner of Lagos governorship primary

Sanwo-Olu

The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have endorsed the result which declared Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the winner of the party’s governorship primary in Lagos State.

Sanwo-Olu won the primary with 970,851 votes while Governor Akinwunmi Ambode got 72,901 votes.

The result was at first rejected by the NWC chairman, Clement Ebri who came with a team from Abuja to monitor the elections.

According to Clement Ebri, the election could not have held because they were yet to get the list of representatives of one of the two aspirants.

Ebiri gave this address to the press around 4.30pm at Protea Hotel, Alausa, but failed to mention the camp that went against the modalities for the election.

However, a changed in decision shows that Ebri has signed the election result hours ago, thereby declaring Sanwo-Olu as the winner.
