The National Executive Council of the All Progressives Congress has handed over to the National Working Committee of the party.
In a terse statement on its official Facebook page, the APC said the NWC will make decisions for the party for a period of 90 days.
“The NEC has transmitted its powers to the National Working Committee of the APC, to make decisions for the party for a period of 90 days,” the statement read.
This was announced while the party’s 11th National Executive Committee meeting was ongoing at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
One of the decisions: “Article 20(3&4) of APC constitution 2022 (as amended) is clear on mode of primary to be used at our congresses & convention, but for primaries for 2023 elections, we have recommended an indirect mode of election. This also will be presented to the NEC for ratification.”
Meanwhile, the APC NEC approved a 50% discount on nomination forms for everyone under 40yrs old.
All the adhoc delegates list by the Buni-led caretaker Committee were discarded by NEC.
