Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has lifted the lockdown order placed on Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of the state on suspicion of COVID-19.
The governor made the announcement while speaking at the government house in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
The decision came after samples taken from the local government were revealed to be negative.
Yahaya Bello also insisted on his claim that Kogi State is COVID-19 free.
This comes days after the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed two cases of COVID-19 in the state.
This was corroborated by the former senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye who stated that he knows one of the patients.
