Most young people
become judgmental about issues around us especially if such issue does not
favour our culture or beliefs as an individual or as a community. It bothers
one to ask if such habit should continue or it should be questioned.

The Christian community
as a whole becomes judgmental over issues that does not falls in place with the
church doctrine, meanwhile, the church is a metaphor for a hospital which is
built for sick people. Although the hale and healthy can visit the hospital so
as to conduct checkup and ensure that they are in good state of health, but the
hospital is a place for the sick. A place where the sick, no matter the
critical condition must first be attended to and referred for help if need
arise.

The church is not meant
for the righteous, Christ never died for the saint, He died for the sinners. It
is amazing how the so called ‘believers’ distinguish between sins. They assume
one type of sin can be pardonable while another is too enormous to be
pardonable. The judgment itself is regarded a sin since the Bible rebuke us
from judging.

The Christian
communities remain silent on several issues which they see as forbidden and
never discuss it within such setting. Such issues are however practiced in the
closet by most of the so called believers as most people have personal weakness
they sit with in their closet.

Issues such Masturbation,
Homosexuality, Premarital sex among others are found too big and too dirty to
be discussed in the Christian community meanwhile so many people fall victim
because of the silence. The gates of the church are usually consciously or
unconsciously shut against those ‘caught’ in this act and the church see them
as too dirty to be washed. They judge, condemn, criticize and avoid this people
as if Christ died for only a few. The question is, IF THE GATES ARE SHUT
AGAINST THE “SINNERS” Where would they get saved? – The clubs, on the street or
– I really can’t answer.
