US begs foreign doctors and nurses to come for visa as COVID-19 cases surpasses that of China

The United States of America has urged foreign doctors and nurses to apply for Visa as the country witnesses COVID-19 cases which has surpassed that recorded in China.

This was disclosed on social media by the Bureau of Consular Affairs. 

The statement reads: “We encourage medical professionals seeking work in the U.S. on a work or exchange visitor visa (H or J), particularly those working on #COVID19 issues, to contact the nearest U.S. Embassy/ Consulate for a visa appointment”.

Foreign medical personnel in the US are also urged to take necessary steps to extend their stay.

The United States became the epicenter of coronavirus after surpassing China and Italy with 85,991 confirmed cases as recorded by John Hopkins University.
