TV Host, Morayo Brown breaks silence on TVC attack

 TV Host of the popular breakfast show, ‘Your View’ Morayo Afolabi-Brown has opened up about her last moments on the show and how fulfilled she feels to have done the right thing till the very end. 

Morayo took to her social media handle on Wednesday night saying that before armed thugs burnt down TVC office in Ketu area of Lagos State this morning, she’s happy that she spoke the truth to power. 

Narrating her last moments, She wrote;

”Many have asked this question today. The truth is, we understood our responsibility to our audience to speak. I told the ladies yesterday, I said, “tomorrow’s show (today) is likely to be our last show for many reasons”. I said, we may be attacked or even fired but we must speak the truth to power”. I’m so glad I said these words because one of them actually happened. It will go down in history that when the chips were down, the ladies of YourView did not back down. We spoke up. I’m glad we did. God bless the new Nigeria of our dreams.#newNigeria”

Kemi Filani News recalls that The TV station which is allegedly said to be owned by former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu was attacked by hoodlums and many of their properties set on ablaze on Wednesday.
