The presidential election tribunal has rejected the application by Atiku Abubakar and his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to go over the smart card readers and server for the 2019 presidential election.
A five-member panel of justices dismissed the application by former vice-president, Atiku Abubakar.
Justice Garba who leads the tribunal said INEC has denied the existence of any server and has claimed the results were not transmitted electronically so granting the application would amount to deciding the central issue in the petition at the interlocutory stage.
“This will be unpalatable,” Justice Garba held.
