Tinubu presides over first FEC meeting of 2024
President Bola Tinubu is currently presiding over the first Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting of this year.
The venue is the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting is being attended by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Senator George Akume, the Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu, and the Ministers.
Before the commencement of the cabinet meeting, the President administered oath of office to Ambassador Desmond Akawor as the new Federal Commissioner of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation, and Fiscal Commission, representing Rivers State.
Ambassador Akawor is replacing Asondu Wenah Temple, the former RMAFC Federal Commissioner from Rivers State, who recently passed on.
The scheduling of the first council meeting of the year was approved by President Tinubu, as Monday coincided with the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
