Tinubu mourns designer of Nigeria’s National Flag, Pa Taiwo

President Bola Tinubu has conveyed his deepest sympathy to the family of Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi, who designed the Nigerian flag.
Kemi Filani News had reported that Pa Akinkunmi died at age 87.
Reacting to the death of Akinkunmi, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement on Wednesday, said Tinubu condoled with friends and associates of the retired civil servant.
According to him, Akinkunmi dedicated his life to the service of the nation, sharing knowledge and experience with old and young and inspiring many to think and act patriotically.
The President affirmed that the Green and White flag is a legacy that consistently reflects the nation’s fruitfulness, resilience, and harmony and the boldness and uniqueness Nigerians characteristically reach for and achieve success worldwide.
President Tinubu believes Pa Akinkunmi lived and worked for the country’s greatness and rests eternally with a place of honour in Nigeria’s history.
