Tinubu leaves Nigeria for COP28 summit in UAE

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday departed Abuja, Nigeria for Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he is expected to attend the COP28 Climate Summit.

At the summit on December 1 and 2, 2023, President Tinubu would deliver a national statement highlighting Nigeria’s stance on various thematic issues, including renewable energy and climate financing.

A statement issued on Tuesday by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, said senior government officials will accompany the president.

Kemi Filani News reports that the president departed the country a few hours after presenting the 2024 annual budget to the joint session of the National Assembly.
