Tinubu calls for investigation into incessant boat accidents nationwide

President Bola Tinubu has called for an investigation into several boat accidents nationwide.

Also, the President sent his condolences to the families of victims of recent boat mishaps in Mokwa Local, Niger state and Gurin Village in Adamawa state.

Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, made this known in a statement on Tuesday.

Kemi Filani News recalls that boat accidents in Mokwa, Niger and Gurin Village led to the death of many, including children.

President wished a most speedy recovery to those who were injured.

The President directed various government agencies, including law enforcement, maritime safety and transportation safety authorities, to collaborate to identify the root causes of these unfortunate and preventable disasters.

President Tinubu reiterated his commitment to holding government agencies accountable for any regulatory or safety lapses and further instructed a comprehensive review of safety measures and strict enforcement of existing laws on boating activities in the country.

The President assured the affected families and communities of the government’s continued support and commitment to preventing such tragic incidents from occurring in the future.
