Three persons have been arrested and over a thousand cows recovered by the Kano State Police Command.
The three suspected cattle rustlers were arrested in Falgore forest.
According to the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, the suspects were part of an armed robbery gang which specialized in kidnapping. Their dastardly ats have been a source of terror to people travelling along Falgore forest.
The suspects: Sa’idu Abdullahi, 23, Suleman Abdullahi and Lawan Mohammed aged 30 and 25 respectively.
Recovered from the suspects include assorted firearms, three pump actions, two AK-47 assault rifles with over 110 rounds of live ammunition.
Efforts are being put in place to arrest the remaining members of the gang who are fleeing with the rest cows.
