Thisday Style Editor, Ruth Osime’s Ex, Sonnie Ayere, remarries

Investment guru, Sonnie Ayere gave marriage a second chance last weekend in Lagos when he walked down the aisle with his live-in lover, Uche Ajene.

While Sonnie Ayere is well known in the financial circle as the Chief Executive Officer of Dunn Loren Merrified – a leading investment banking firm, his wife is no push over herself.

A graduate of Boston University, Uche is the Managing Consultant (Director) of Quadrant MSL Nigeria, a subsidiary of Troyka Holdings Limited.

Before joining Quadrant MSL, the bride, Uche was formerly the Director of Marketing and Strategic Accounts at Halogen Security Limited. She was also the Group Head, Communications and Youth Accounts at FCMB Plc.

Sonnie Ayere who became well known in social circles due to his relationship with Thisday Style editor, Ruth Osime, disappeared from the social scene after his relationship with Ruth came to an abrupt end. While it lasted, they seemed so smitten with each other with many hoping that Sonnie would eventually walk her down the aisle.

In fact during her 50th birthday celebration about five years ago, which had in attendance business leaders and top dignitaries in the economic, social and political sectors of the Nigeria, Sonnie was more or less like the ‘chief host’ of the party as he contributed immensely to making it a memorable party for Ruth.

But things fell apart between the couple. Sonnie is now married to Uche and they already have three kids between them.
The much talked about wedding between Sonnie Ayere and Uche Ajene tagged #us2019 held last Saturday April 27, 2019 in the evening at the Landmark Events Centre, Victoria Island in Lagos. It was a strictly private affair as pictures and videos were under restrictions.
