    BREAKING: Gunmen storm Zamfara School, abduct 300 female students

    Unknown gunmen have stormed the Government Girls Secondary School in Zamfara state and kidnapped about 300 school girls, reports reveal.

    This is the fourth massive abduction by terrorists in the Northern part of Nigeria, starting from the kidnapping of over 300 students from the Government College in Kankara, Katsina State.

    The girls’ abduction at the government girls secondary school in Jangebe, Talatu Mafara Local government area of the state, was reported at around 2 a.m.

    The terrorists stormed the school, carting away with the students.

    Some of the terrorists reportedly overrun a military checkpoint very close to the school before attacking the school.

    Reports have it that many soldiers sustained several injuries, but no causalities have been reported as of the time of filing this report.

    Newsman gathered that vigilantes in the area are in pursuit of the terrorist to rescue the schoolgirls.

    Special Assistant to Governor Bello Matawalle on public enlightenment, Zailani Bappah, confirmed the incident when speaking on BBC pidgin.
