Supreme Court Verdict: Heavy Security at Apex Court as stage sets for Hearing Atiku, Obi’s suit against Tinubu’s victory
Heavy security has been thrown around the Supreme Court premises as the stage is fully set for hearing the three petitions challenging the election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Kemi Filani News gathered that heavily armed security personnel had cordoned the entire premises against unaccredited lawyers and litigants.
Our correspondent observed that right from the main gate of the Apex Court, those who have no direct roles in the Court are being turned back.
Only lawyers to Tinubu led by Chief Wole Olanipekun SAN, those of Atiku Abubakar led by Chris Uche SAN and those of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC led by Abubakar Mahmoud are permitted into the Courtroom.
At the time of this report, the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Advisers Nuhu Ribadu; APC National Chairman, Umar Ganduje; National Secretary, Senator Bashir Ajibola and five others have taken their seats in the Courtroom.
It was also observed that the atmosphere is tense up as politicians’ usual throwing of banters is absent.
Anxiety is also mounting in the Courtroom due to the lack of confirmation of names of panel members that would hear the Petitions.
