The Supreme Court has dismissed an appeal brought before it by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its Adamawa governorship candidate, Aisha Dahiru, known as Binani.
The five-member panel on Wednesday, led by John Okoro said the appeal lacked merit.
The court also condemned the conduct of the state former Resident Electoral Commissioner, Hudu Ari, who earlier declared Binani winner of the election, describing it as irresponsible and criminal.
Okoro noted that the exclusive power to announce election results lies with the Returning Officer and not the REC.
