Shi’ites leader, El-Zakzaky, wife leave Nigeria for India (photos)

Sheikh Ibrahim El-zakzaky, the leader of the proscribed Islamic Movement of Nigeria aka Shi’ites and his wife, Zeenat, have departed Abuja for India,

Earlier today, El-Zakzaky, and his wife, Zeenat, arrived at the Abuja airport as they waited to be flown to India for medical treatment.

The couple and other security personnel departed Nigeria for India from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja aboard an Emirate flight.

184 doctors from 7 Islamic Countries had written to President Buhari to allow the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, Ibrahim El-zakzaky and his wife, to be transferred to a better equipped hospital for treatment.

This comes after a Kaduna State High court on August 5th, granted them leave to undergo treatment at an Indian hospital of their choice.
