Senator Yarima demands investigation into the gruesome murder of VON reporter

The former Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Ahmed Yarima, has said that he received with deep shock and sorrow the official report of the Zamfara State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ over the brutal killing of one of its respected members, Comrade Hamisu Danjibga.

The senator’s Special Assistant on media and publicity, Junaidu Attahiru Dosara, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.

Yarima condemned the unsympathetic and brutal behaviour of the culprits who perpetrated the inhuman act.

“In due regards, His Excellency Yariman-Bakura is therefore calling on all the Security agencies to swing into action to arrest and book the perpetrators of this Odd act to law. He uses the medium to extend his condolences to the deceased’s family, the Zamfara State Council of NUJ, Zamfara State Government, the Management of Voice of Nigeria and the entire Community of Danjibga district in Tsafe Local Government Area over the great loss of Hamisu Danjibga.”

“Senator further prayed Allah SWT to forgive all the deceased’s shortcomings and give his family and relatives fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, as well as praying that Jannatul Firdaus be his final destination.

Kemi Filani News recalls that Danjibga was murdered recently in Zamfara by a yet-to-be-identified gunman.
