Nigeria’s number one female combat pilot, Tolulope Arotile, died hours ago.
Tolulope Arotile passed away at age of 23, and her death comes only 8 months after she had been recognized.
Homages have really been pouring from Nigerians everywhere in the world on Twitter, Facebook and other social networks as others are devastated by her passing.
We were lucky enough to see a glimpse of the first time she operated in a helicopter.

Ibikunle Daramola, Nigeria Air Force (NAF) spokesperson, confirmed her demise late Tuesday in a tweet.
Daramola announced that Arotile died as a direct result of head injury as a result of just a road traffic incident at the NAF Base in Kaduna State, northern Nigeria.
Arotile, as per Daramola, died just a year of being winged as a combat helicopter pilot in the Air Force after completing her service in South Africa.
Rest In Peace Arotile.
