Plane fire outbreak in Moscow airport kills 41

A plane which got erupted by fire at an airport in Moscow, Russia, has killed about 41 people with many left injured.

TheAeroflot flight SU 1492 developed fault in the air and had to return to Sheremetyevo airport. On landing, it skidded down the runway which set its rear section ablaze and spilling thick, black smoke.

According to Russia’s Interfax news agency, a “loss of communication” caused by a “lightning strike” had led to the decision to return to Sheremetyevo. No official cause has yet been given for the disaster.

The flight which was in the air for about 30 minutes had 78 people on board. When the fire broke out after it landed at the airport it took for from, report say about 41 people got killed while many were left injured.

Video which surfaced showed people rushing out of the plane when the fire started.
