Photos: President Buhari meets Yahaya Bello over food blockade to south

Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has been received by President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House in Abuja on Thursday.
There meeting was made known by the Special Assistant to the President, Buhari Sallahu, after he shared photos of their meeting.
“President @MBuhari receives Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Yahaya Bello and with them is the Chief of Staff, Prof Ibrahim Gambari during a closed-door meeting over the suspension of Food dealers Strike at the State House Abuja,” Sallau said as he shares the photos.

The governor of Kogi state has played a key role in the suspension of food stoppage from entering the Southern part of Nigeria from the North.
Yahaya was instrumental in the settling scores between the Amalgamated Union of Foodstuff and Cattle Dealers in Nigeria.

Muhammad Tahir, President of the AUFCCDN, said the food blockage strike was suspended following the Federal Government’s promise to give them N4.75bn in compensation.
Moreso, the Federal Government has promised to protect members of the AUFCDN, halt any form of multiple taxations, and deliberate coercion and intimidation from security forces on the highway.
