PDP forwards names of nominees to replace Umahi/Igwe in Ebonyi State

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has forwarded names of its nominees to replace David Umahi, who was sacked as Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi and his Deputy, Dr Eric Kelechi Igwe, to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

This comes after the ruling of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja earlier today.

National Chairman, Senator Dr Iyorchia Ayu, addressing a world press conference at the PDP National Headquarters, Wadata Plaza, Abuja, confirmed this.

Ayu disclosed that the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) has submitted names of nominees to be sworn in as Governor and Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State.

We asked about the names submitted, he said “we are not going to release the names immediately.

“But the names will soon be made available to the press”.
