Omoyele Sowore rearrested by DSS in court

The Department of State Security, DSS, have stormed the Federal High Court and rearrested Sahara Reporters publisher Omoyele Sowore and his co-defendant Olawale Bakare.

Barely 24 hours after his release, Sowore who had appeared in court for a fundamental rights enforcement hearing in his ongoing trial is being held in the court with his lawyers and associates who are trying to shielf him from them

In a bid to ensure a successful rearrest, the DSS operatives reportedly also chased away the presiding judge, Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu and assaulted a journalist.

Many have voiced their displeasure in the manner the case is being handled by the DSS operatives however, it appears there is more than meets the eye in the said case

The fresh attempt to arrest Sowore is coming a day after he was released on bail from detention after spending 124 days.

It may be recalled that Sowore was arrested and placed in custody of the DSS after he was accused of trying to overthrow the Buhari-led administration following a series of protests he staged in key areas across the country tagged #RevolutionNow
