Ohanaeze Ndigbo to honour Tinubu with chieftacy title

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo socio-cultural organization is set to honour President Bola Tinubu with a traditional title, known as ‘Enyi Ndigbo’ during this year’s Igbo Day celebratio
Ohanaeze said Igbos would use the opportunity to mend the fence with Tinubu.
This year’s Igbo Day celebration will be held on September 29 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The 2023 celebration will bring Igbos from all works of life together, and challenges facing the Southeast will be discussed and resolved.
A statement by Ohanaeze’s factional Secretary General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, said Igbos are resilient and can overcome all obstacles.
Isiguzoro said the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization said the day was set aside to celebrate Igbo fallen heroes and its culture.
The statement reads: “The 2023 Igbo Day Celebration will be held in Rivers State, Nigeria on September 29 2023. The annual event is organized by the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, in remembrance of our fallen heroes, a celebration of rich cultural inheritance, the revival of the Igbo language and bringing solutions to myriads of problems facing Ndigbo.
“…The event’s highlight is the confirmation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with the grandly Traditional honour in Igboland, as “Enyi Ndigbo”.
