Mr Olufemi Oguntoyinbo, the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) governorship candidate in Ogun, says he is on a rescue mission to address the state’s erratic power supply.

According to the Nigerian News Agency (NAN), the 42-year-old governorship candidate is a successful entrepreneur, philanthropist, and the Managing Director of Eagle Online Newspaper.
According to him, the lack of checks and balances among the branches of government is to blame for the country’s erratic electricity supply.
“I am on a rescue mission to ensure that there is checks and balances among the arms of government.
“This is responsible for erratic supply of electricity being experienced across the country,” he said.
Oguntoyinbo said that many businesses were closing down due to erratic supply of electricity across the country.
The candidate pledged to collaborate with the existing electricity company to provide necessary infrastructure to boost electricity supply in the state.
He said that the effort would transform businesses, empower youths and boost jobs creation, which in turn, would reduce unemployment as well as poverty.
The governorship candidate promised to ensure that all roads, irrespective of their category or class, whether federal or state roads, are motorable for the people.
“I will make it a point of duty to ensure that my administration fix all potholes on the roads within the state.
“Good and motorable roads will promote businesses and enhance socioeconomic activities of the people of Ogun State,” he said.
Oguntoyinbo, also promised to clear all the backlogs of unpaid gratuities owed by the pensioners by the present administration.
He also blamed lack of proper monitoring of projects and implementation of policies for the poorly executed projects.
Earlier, Mr Adebayo Raji, the Chapel Chairman, said that the platform was inaugurated for people to inform and educate the public.
Raji said that the chapel was a platform for guests to pass information across to the public through the over 40 media houses represented in the chapel.
