Everyone seems to be adopting the ‘conceding call’ trend introduced by President Goodluck Jonathan weeks ago.
Hours ago, the opposition party candidate Jimi Agbaje for Lagos
state, promised to give the All Progressive Congress candidate, Ambode a
congratulatory call if he won the election – this time, the Kaduna
state Governor has embraced the trend.
The state Governor, Yero just called the soon-to-be-announced Governor elect of the state.
Former
Minister, El Rufai made the announcement on twitter moments ago “Just
received a phone call from Gov Mukhtar Ramalan Yero congratulating me
for winning the Kaduna Gubernatorial election. I thanked him too.”

We totally love his sportsmanship spirit.
Just so you know, Nasir El Rufai is leading the gubernatorial election held on Saturday
in Kaduna state by a wide margin based on results collated from 85 per
cent of the polling units across the state.
He is leading the incumbent governor of Kaduna state,
Ramalan Yero, by a wide margin in most of the 23 local government areas
of the state.

So far, El-Rufai has obtained 725,293 as opposed to Yero’s 242,392, thus leading Mr. Yero by at least 500,000 votes.
We still await the official announcement by INEC.
