Nigerian dad kills his son for wanting the mum more than him

Rabiu Yusuf, a 43-year-old man from
Bauchi state murdered his son, Aliyu Rabiu, aged 10, because, according
to him, the boy was stubborn.

So what was this stubbornness the boy displayed that was worthy of death?

Yusuf divorced the mother of the boy and
married a second wife. “My son Aliyu followed his mother to her new
home, and I was not in support of the arrangement. I called Aliyu
several times to come back home because I want him to be in my custody
as his father, but he refused. So I went to the mother’s home with
annoyance and brought him back home,” he said.

Not satisfied with having brought the
boy back home, Yusuf chained him and locked him up inside the room so
the boy would not escape to his mother. For 10 days, the boy was locked
up and chained. He later fell sick and was taken to Rimi Clinic in
Bauchi where he died.

Yusuf has confessed to killing his son
even though he said he did not believe that the boy would die as a
result of the punishment.

He was paraded at the police headquarters in Bauchi, alongside other suspects.

Relation Officer , DSP Haruna Mohammed,  confirmed that Yusuf Rabiu
conspired with one Ismail Idris and maltreated and killed his 10 years
old son.

He said the case is under investigation after which suspects will be charged to Court for prosecution.
