Man arraigned in Court for stealing car worth N7m

An Ikeja High Court on Monday arraigned one Ibrahim Damana for allegedly stealing a grey Lexus Rx350 worth N7 million.
Damana, whose address and occupation were not provided, is facing a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and armed robbery.

He pleaded not guilty to both charges.

The Lagos State Prosecutor, Mr Ola Azeez, told the court that Ibrahim, in the company of others still at large, conspired to commit robbery on July 17, 2021, around the Berger area of the state.

Azeez said that the suspect, with his conspirators, while armed with an AK-47 rifle, robbed one Osagie of a grey Lexus Rx350 worth N7 million, belonging to one Ogunsina Adeola.

The prosecutor, after that, applied for a trial date given the defendant’s plea.

He said the offences contravened the provisìons of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Justice Oyindamola Ogala adjourned the matter to Jan. 24, 2024, and Jan. 31, 2024, for the commencement of trial.
