Former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has said that the type of food distributed by the government as palliative measures represents what Nigerians deserve.
Many have complained that the food distributed has so far been poor and lesser in quality compared to what they normally eat at home.
With lockdown in order, many who depend on daily earnings have found it difficult getting food to eat.
This prompted the government to distribute food to the citizens to help cushion the effect of the lockdown.
Reacting to the complaints from the recipient of the food, Shehu Sani tweeted: “The type of food given to you by your leaders in this #COVID19 times is certainly not the type they consume at home with their families and maids; The quality either represents what the economy can afford or what they feel you deserve”.
