Kano: Police invite Dala Rep-elect over alleged unlawful possession of firearm

Aliyu Madaki, the incoming representative for the Dala Federal Constituency, has been invited by the Kano State Police Command for allegedly possessing a firearm illegally.

This was confirmed by SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, the command’s public relations officer, in a statement given to the media on Wednesday in Kano.

According to the statement, the command under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, Mr Muhammad Yakubu, invited Madaki.
“He is currently at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) undergoing an investigation,” the statement said. (NAN)
