KadunaKidnapping: Atiku lament abduction of schoolgirls in the North

Nigeria’s former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, sends his love to the families of the kidnapped female students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Mando in the Igabi Local Area of Kaduna.

Kemi Filani News had earlier reported that unknown numbers of female students were kidnapped from their school in the early hours of Friday, leaving the male students behind.

Reacting to the rather unfortunate and seeming unceasing kidnapping of females school girls, the PDP 2019 Presidential candidate shows concern about the effect it would have on the schoolgirls’ education in the North.

“A situation where only girl students—an already vulnerable group that is playing catch-up in the North, is specifically targeted for abduction raises serious concerns,” he said.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the affected students’ families, even as I urge that no resources should be spared to secure their release. The question is: how long shall we continue with this situation?”, Atiku tweeted.
