The Kano State Government has banned tricycles, popularly known as Keke and A Daidata Sahu, saying they are not to be seen plying roads after 10pm.
The ban which will last from 10pm to 6am begins on Thursday 21 July 2022.
In a press release by the Commissioner of Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, the state said it took the position at the end of its security conference.
Garba said the step was part of the effort to ensure the security of lives and properties in the state.
The Commissioner, in the notice, asked tricyclists to stop operating within specific hours so that security agencies will implement the law without reconciliation.
