The country home of the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Prof George Obiozor, at Awo-Omanma in the Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State, has been razed by gunmen.
This was done with the use of explosive devices while the Igbo leader was away from home.
A source who spoke to Punch said, “The country home of Prof George Obiozor was burnt. The CCTV cameras captured the attack. Thank God Prof was not at home when they came.”
No reaction has been gotten from Obiozor following the attack on his house.
However, one of the Ohanaeze leaders said he had called the Igbo leader to commiserate with him, adding that the police have been urged to fish out the perpetrators of the attack.
No statement has been issued on the attack by the spokesperson for the Imo State Police Command, Micheal Abattam.
