Two suspected criminals narrowly escaped death on Thursday, in Otukpo town, Benue State, after been rescued from an irate mob by vigilantes.
It was gathered that the suspects were caught red handed during a breaking and entering operation around Perfect Avenue of the town.
The suspects identified as Odeh and Okpekwu, were about to be lynched to death by the mob before some members of vigilante in the area came to their rescue.
It was learnt that the vigilantes took the suspected criminals away and handed them over to the Police.
Kemi Filani News recalls that armed robbers recently shot one of their members to death “mistakenly” during a robbery operation in Naka, Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State.
The hoodlums were said to had shot and killed a popular businessman in the area identified as Onche Jonah, alias Salaco. But unfortunately for them, one of them accidentally killed one of their members during the operation.
