Protectors of PMB Legacy, a civil society group, says it is unjustifiable to say former President Muhammadu Buhari did nothing to move the country forward in his eight-year administration.

The group encourages Nigerians to visit a website that chronicles former President Buhari’s achievements and urges people to judge Buhari by themselves.

The group’s Coordinator, Mohammed Ajiji, stated on Sunday in Kaduna, “We are being compelled to address some claims asserting that the government of former President Muhammadu Buhari has not achieved anything during its tenure. Such assertions are misleading and disregard the numerous accomplishments documented on the PMB scorecard.”

According to him, contrary to the misinformation being circulated, the Buhari administration made significant strides across various sectors, contributing to Nigeria’s overall development and progress.
He added that they were actually blown away when they stumbled on the site and discovered the quantum of projects executed by the PMB administration.
The Coordinator encouraged all concerned citizens and media members, musicians, political critics and other interest groups to visit the PMB scorecard website, which meticulously outlines and provides transparent insights into the government’s achievements.

He explained that available data showed that the former administration executed a lot of infrastructure development, economic reforms, social intervention programmes, and security and agriculture initiatives.

The Coordinator emphasized that constructive criticism and public discourse are essential elements of a vibrant democracy, so it is crucial to base such discussions on accurate information and facts.

The reaction comes as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu said he inherited liabilities from his predecessor, Buhari.

Also, Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State reiterated that Tinubu inherited a dead economy.
