A Kwara state high court has threatened the IGP with possible jail term for refusing to obey the court’s order to release Mr Olalekan Alabi, Personal Assistant on Political Matters to Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed who was arrested in connection to the robbery.

In a Notice of Consequences of Disobedience of Order of Court (Form 48) dated 10th August, 2018, the court threatened the IGP with possible jail time.

The Notice read: “Take notice that unless you obey the directions contained in the order of the High Court of Justice of Kwara State delivered on the 1st of August, 2018, you will be guilty of contempt of court and will be liable to be committed to prison.”

Alabi has been in custody since the 30th of May on the orders of Idris.
