Following the release of the National Examination Council, NECO June/July 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination on Tuesday, the examination body said candidates can check their results on its website.
The Registrar of NECO, Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, announced NECO headquarters while briefing Journalists in Minna, Niger State.
Kemi Filani reports that 61.60 per cent of students scored five credits and above in English Language and Mathematics.
Prof.Wushishi disclosed that a total of 1,205,888 students registered for the examination. Of that number, 1,196,985 sat for the exams, representing 616,398 males and 580,587 females.
When compared to the results of the 2022 SSCE of 60.74 per cent, the 2023 SSCE showed a decrease of 0.86 per cent in the number of candidates who scored five credits and above in the two subjects.
Recall that in 2021, 71.64 per cent obtained five credits in the two major subjects.

1. Visit the NECO result-checking portal at https://results.neco.gov.ng/.
2. Select your examination year and the type (SSCE Internal, SSCE External, BECE, NCEE, and GIFTED).
3. Enter the token sent to the mobile number provided.
4. Enter your registration number
5. Click on the “Check my result” button.
